Ingredients

Scale

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups blanched almond flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder (or seasoning of choice)
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder (optional, for light puff)

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Topping

  • Flaky sea salt for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, combine the almond flour, salt, garlic powder, and baking powder (if using) until well blended.
  3. Add Wet Ingredients: Stir in the beaten egg and olive oil to the dry mixture, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  4. Roll Dough: Place the dough between two sheets of parchment paper and roll it out evenly to about ⅛ inch thickness or thinner, ensuring an even bake and crispness.
  5. Cut Crackers: Remove the top parchment sheet and use a knife or pizza cutter to cut the dough into 1-inch squares for uniform crackers.
  6. Season & Bake: Sprinkle the cut dough squares with flaky sea salt if desired, transfer to the baking sheet, and bake for 15–20 minutes until the edges turn golden brown.
  7. Cool & Store: Allow the crackers to cool completely on the baking sheet; they will crisp up further as they cool. Once cooled, break apart and store in an airtight container.

Notes

  • For a lighter texture, include the optional baking powder.
  • Feel free to customize seasoning by adding herbs like rosemary or spices like paprika.
  • Store crackers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
  • If dough is too sticky, chill briefly before rolling.
  • Ensure even rolling thickness to promote uniform baking and avoid burning.
