Ingredients

Scale

Oreo Crust:

  • 13-ounce package Oreo cookies
  • 6 tablespoons butter

Peanut Butter Filling:

  • 1.5 cups crunchy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup powdered white sugar
  • 4 tablespoons butter

Chocolate Topping:

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons crunchy peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Make Crust: Line an 8×8 inch baking dish with foil and grease the sides and bottom with butter. Add Oreo cookies to a food processor and pulse until finely crushed. Melt butter in a large mixing bowl using the microwave. Add the crushed Oreos to the melted butter and stir until the mixture is well combined. Transfer this mixture into the prepared baking dish and press down firmly to form an even, flat crust. Place the baking dish in the freezer to chill.
  2. Make Filling: Melt butter in a large mixing bowl in the microwave. Stir in the crunchy peanut butter and powdered sugar until the mixture is smooth and well mixed. Evenly distribute this peanut butter filling over the chilled Oreo crust in the baking dish. Return the dish to the freezer to set the filling.
  3. Make Topping: Place the semi-sweet chocolate chips and crunchy peanut butter in a large mixing bowl. Heat the heavy whipping cream to a simmer in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Pour the hot cream over the chocolate chips and peanut butter, then stir until the mixture is completely smooth and glossy. Pour this chocolate ganache evenly over the chilled peanut butter filling in the baking dish. Cover the dish and refrigerate overnight or for at least a few hours to allow the topping to set.
  4. Serve: Once fully chilled and set, lift the foil edges to remove the bars from the baking dish and transfer them to a cutting board. Cut into 16 equal square bars and serve. These bars keep well refrigerated and are perfect for sharing as a rich, indulgent treat.

Notes

  • Use a food processor to crush the Oreos finely for a uniform crust.
  • Crunchy peanut butter provides texture contrast in both the filling and topping.
  • Bars can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or frozen for longer storage.
